Hitting EventCity after
their fantastic show in February, Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts
runs from 12-14
September and with over 150 exhibitors with the latest products, ideas
and innovations from the crafting world, the creative army will be spoilt for
choice on where to look first.
This season's
event boasts the world’s first life-sized Knitted Garden; a
riot of colour with hand-worked blooms, bumble bees buzzing around their
hive and ladybirds scuttling over a plant pot. Created by the UK Hand
Knitting Association, this unique knitted masterpiece is a sight to behold with
everything from a deckchair, vegetable plot and garden shed to a pond, tasty
picnic and watchful gnome. For those knitters in the room who feel
inspired then there is also the chance to be a part of a World Record attempt
as The Craft Club is calling all knitters to take part in their latest
attempt to create the longest knitted chain, so come along to cast on at the
show.
Jewel in the crown of the 3 day event, if it wasn't enough, is a chance to see close up the amazing stage costumes from Simon Callow’s version of the hit Broadway musical, ‘My Fair Lady’. These have been created by renowned fashion designer Jasper Conran and Irish Milliner and royal favourite Philip Treacy, each costume is set to wow the crowds with its intricate and unusual design. Taken from the amazing Ascot scene, the flower theme is vividly brought to life with huge hats creating a stunning garden in the shape of roses, tulips, pansies and lilies that really needs to be seen to be believed.
With everything from
sewing, knitting and quilting to papercraft, cardmaking and beading, you will
find all the latest innovations from the world of creative craft and if you
need to stock up on yarns - and which crafter doesn't - why not visit the ever
popular Black Sheep Wools from Warrington with the softest yarns in
an abundance of colours, weights and fibres. What's more, all visitors
can enjoy a free programme of Quick & Easy Workshops, Talks and
Demonstrations each day of the show.
Running alongside
Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts, Woman’s Weekly Live also taking
place during the weekend is a totally unique event brought to you by the makers
of Woman’s Weekly Magazine, packed full of everything you would expect from one
of the biggest selling weekly magazines; there will be daily catwalk shows,
cooking and craft demonstrations and gardening, fiction, craft and knitting
workshops.
Make sure you visit Creative
Stitches & Hobbycrafts returning to EventCity, Manchester this
September. With so many fantastic features, inspiring ideas and top advice from
the experts, you will leave the show bursting with ideas - after all it's only
a few crafting weeks until Christmas. For more information and to buy tickets,
